My 110 Favorite Songs of the 1970s

70sBest

I gathered up all the songs I rated “Awesome” in the 70s. There were just over 100 of them. So I reviewed the ones I labeled “Great” and pulled out a few of the best – and was able to cut the list to an even 110. And while the individual years weren’t ranked in numerical order, this decade summary is.

1970  1971  1972  1973  1974  1975  1976  1977  1978  1979

Once again, this order is based on how I feel right now. Today. Sitting at a computer. Whereas the order of preference while driving around town would probably result in a different order…and sitting on the deck in the sun with a beer would generate yet another order. But whatever. Enjoy. Both of you.

110. Stuck in the Middle with You  – Stealers Wheel (1973)

Reservoir Dogs!

109. Three Little Birds  – Bob Marley and the Wailers (1977)

108. It’s a Heartache  – Bonnie Tyler (1977)

I don’t know what it is about Bonnie’s voice, but I’m a big fan…

107. Knowing Me, Knowing You  – ABBA (1976)

Yes, I’m a closet ABBA fan. So shut up.
