My Favorite Songs from 2010

This was another dead zone for me when it comes to new music. I guess at that point it was time to admit I was…old? I was 36, but pretty out of touch with the music scene, listening to my own collection at home while working at my own business DobberHockey (which was doing quite well).

We were pregnant with my second daughter, who was born in May of 2011, so the year ended in a good place. My first turned two at the end of the year and was becoming a handful. But I didn’t know what a handful was until 2011 – baby plus terrible twos equals craziness!

Looking back at 2010, I didn’t find it a great year, even after reviewing all the songs (which was a huge project over 3000 songs released – welcome to the YouTube era). So moving forward, I’ll just be reviewing as many charts as I can, going deeper on the popular albums, and keep it under 1000 songs. Every single one of these songs I noticed only years later, and grew to enjoy them later.

New Struggles

At five years post-transplant, we’re told that the odds of relapse are quite slim. After two years, in fact, those odds are quite slim. If you make it that far without the stem cells being rejected, or without a cancer relapse, you’re probably going to make it.

I didn’t want to ever write a post in this section of my blog again. But here we are.
