This was another dead zone for me when it comes to new music. I guess at that point it was time to admit I was…old? I was 36, but pretty out of touch with the music scene, listening to my own collection at home while working at my own business DobberHockey (which was doing quite well).

My first full year as a father was obviously a busy one. It was also the year we moved into a new house (where we still live today). As with 2008, 2009 was a year in which I was exposed to very little in terms of newer music. The bigger hits and better songs got through thanks to the many car trips, but not like when I was commuting daily.
